You can find our roots in a sports boarding school in Nanjing, China
The ZAOSU brand was founded in 2009 by former competitive swimmer Yong Zhao. He did his first swimming training at the sports boarding school in Nanjing. The connection to his former homeland China is also reflected in the brand name, because ZAOSU is derived from the Chinese word chāo sù and means super fast in a figurative sense.
It was the enthusiasm for swimming, both as an active athlete and as a trainer, that inspired Yong to develop his own swimming products after studying at the German Sport University in Cologne. The FINA-approved and eye-catchingly designed swimsuits and swimming trunks, which stand out among the many monochrome competition outfits, still form the core of the collection today. In addition, swimming equipment - such as thermal coats, backpacks, training tools, bathing caps and swimming goggles - rounds off the ZAOSU range.
The origin of our brand lies in swimming, but we are also known in triathlon as a brand with wetsuits and clothing. Through extensive testing of various triathlon products, Yong caught triathlon fever and finished his first long-distance triathlon in 2017. The next big goal is the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii.

Our mission is to provide every swimmer and triathlete with the right products they need to be successful in their sport from start to finish. Both in swimming and in triathlon, the athlete must be able to rely one hundred percent on his material in order to achieve top performance. That is why all ZAOSU products are developed in Germany and go through a multi-stage test process. In close cooperation with our athletes and our employees, most of whom are ambitious athletes and/or trainers themselves, the requirements for new products are collected and various materials and cuts are selected. In training and competitions, new products are tested by our athletes and employees so that they meet the highest standards. Only when we are satisfied do we bring our products onto the market so that you can make your sporting dreams come true.

The athletic background of our team not only plays a major role in product development. Based on their own experience, they can give you the best advice. Whether by phone or on site, we listen to you carefully to find the best product for you. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have about training or events. Your feedback on our products is particularly valuable to us, because it allows us to keep making our products better.
We maintain the exchange with our customers at neoprene test swims and triathlon competitions as well as at swimming competitions. In addition, we have now established two of our own events: the ZAOSU Challenge Cup and the ZAOSU Challenge Tour. During the tour, the ZAOSU team with its swimming stars Christian vom Lehn, Christoph Fildebrandt and Nina Kost makes its way through Germany and visits the clubs that have prevailed after an exciting application phase. In addition to intensive training, the highlight of the day is the final 4x50m relay against the stars!
