A Modern, single to double concave, twin + trailer “Fish”, based off MR's most popular modern shortboard...The SuperTwin. Mark allowed me the honor of tweaking his iconic #SuperTwin model to create a modern, user friendly, small wave weapon. We dramatically lowered the entry rocker, widened the nose and tail block, and added a couple inches of width to the overall outline, giving gobs of glide in gutless surf. We flattened the deck for stability, but retained MR's classic speedy, down soft rails and his modern performance tail rocker...Ensuring it still turns proper and precise. Flat where it needs to be, but still curvy in the right spots, and skates along but still turns in tight spots. This is a Fish that you can grovel the small stuff, but still really rip on. Pictured with hand airbrushed rails from @artbyryder, reflecting Mark's classic color scheme, with a youthful flair.

The COBRA KILLER: A special collaboration between Matt Biolos and The “Son Of Cobra” (Paul Lefevre, formerly of The LuckyBastards).
“The “Son Of Cobra” (Paul Lefevre) is world renowned for his ResinWorks artistry, but Paul is equally adept at the craft of shaping. I've said for years that Paul may be the most naturally talented, all around board builder, that I've worked with in all my years” – Matt Biolos.
the COBRA KILLER is first and foremost, a Post Modern Twin-fin. Designed around Paul's unique, and exceedingly deep, double concave bottom. It really piqued my interest to pair it with one of our proven models. We effectively merged his bottom contours into the outline, foil, rails and primary rocker of the time tested QuiverKiller. Thus, the name “COBRA KILLER”. Due to the relatively pulled in, rounded pin, being paired with the deep concave behind the fins, the COBRA KILLER needs no trailer fin, and is built exclusively as a Twin.
As Paul says “It's really fast. Gives lots of drive. Makes sharp turns (with great responsiveness) and is not so loose, for a Twin Fin. It rides very lively under foot, yet surprisingly solid and firm. It can be ridden with confidence, without fear of sliding out, or drifting”.
Of course, it wouldn't be a “Son Of Cobra” project without some added flair and fanciness. The COBRA KILLER also comes with artistically beautiful bells and whistles. Each shaped blank is built with dual, dark wood stringers. Thin enough for flex, but the 1/2” gap between them reduces unwanted twist and torsion.

The Crowd Killer is a high performance, #hyperfunboard, based off of the Quiver Killer rocker and outline. The idea was to extend it lengthwise and open up this design to a wider audience. It's a wave catching, easy riding machine that does not skimp on performance.
The Crowd Killer features:
- A slightly wider, wave catching nose, with a “no pearl” flip tip, allowing the added length to still fit into the curve of waves.
- A wicked little double bump swallow tail, which feels lively and playful in small surf, yet holds long lines in larger waves.
- A relaxed and fast central rocker, that glides with ease.
- Plenty of tail rocker, with deep double concave, for whipping wraps like a pro.
- New “Hidden Volume” two stage deck line, which focuses the foam toward the stringer and a rapid taper towards the rails. This creates a flat, stable deck, without feeling full or bulbous, and allows sensitive yet forgiving rails.
- Own the local spot, or piss off locals when you travel with this Crowd Killing machine.
UPDATES for CROWD KILLER 2021 INCLUDED:
- Wider at center, with a noticeably pulled in nose and more overall curve in the outline. Less parallel rails and more hip in the tail. The outline changes make for a board that rides more freely on the face and is easier to turn up and down the wave without catching the nose.
- Thicker along the stringer, with more thickness carried forward, but a more defined roll in deck, creating lower volumed, less bulky, more refined, yet still forgiving, rails. The rails feel better in the hand and permeate the waters surface with ease.
- A slightly relaxed tail rocker, smoothing out the hyper kicked tail that was needed in the first version to free up the parallel outline. New rocker has slightly less nose kick as well. The entire rocker line is smoothed out and blended without extreme flip or kick in the nose or tail, to better flow with the new, curvier, outline.
- Each size now is wider and with a bit more thickness and volume overall, but with more foil and roll in the deck, making for less rails bulk and a great feel in and out of the water.
- The CROWD KILLER Swallow was always meant to be an aggressively surfed “Mid-Length”. The changes and updates make that easier to do, in both good surf and bad, without reducing the ease of paddling and catching waves in a crowded line up.
- The stock files were always only available in even sizes. For 2021 I've added odd sizes to the stock offering.

The CROWD KILLER- ROUND: Dependable and ridiculously easy to ride from tiny surf to the largest days in most parts of the world.
the CROWD KILLER ROUND is a natural evolution and refinement of 2018's instantly popular Crowd Killer; which naturally developed to a clean and simple round tail. In contrast to the original Crowd Killer with a double wing swallow tail, the Crowd Killer Round's round Tail is more forgiving and easier to turn in better waves, and at high speeds. Less tail area means more control, and smooth turns and relaxed surfing, with more range in a variety of conditions. The Crowd Killer Round features essentially the same rocker and foil as the Crowd Killer, but we have reduced the concave a bit, lowered the rail volume and added some curve to the outline. The size scale, and standard dims are adjusted as well, so that the Crowd Killer Round can be ridden a bit longer without added volume. A very clean and no frills update to an already well received board, especially for those with aversions to multiple wings and swallow tails. Dependable and ridiculously easy to surf from tiny surf to the largest days in most parts of the USA/World.

The DRIVER 2.0 is the continuing evolution of our most proven and popular pro-formance shortboard. Designed through direct feedback and ongoing refinement with rigorous testing from our pinnacle team riders, specifically Kolohe Andino and Griffin Colapinto, as well as Carissa Moore and young Caroline Marks. The DRIVER 2.0 is a direct reflection of what our team has pushed us to create, to keep up with their pinnacle performance surfing demands.
Over the last two years, since the last iteration of the DRIVER (in early 2017), there has been a constant, almost monthly refinement, of fine tuning and adjustments to keep up with the evolution of modern performance surfing. We've literally made Griffin and Kolohe hundreds of DRIVERS in that time, with subtle, ongoing edits and tweaks. The good news is that this evolution also benefits the every-day surfer.
Updates include:
- More gradual, “no flip tip” entry rocker, for glide and “no pump” speed, out the gate = Connecting sections more effortlessly and carry speed though drawn out turns.
- Wider nose outline in the forward 18”, for more front foot drive and speed, down the line and through carving turns. This also creates a stable platform for the front foot, when landing reverse and fin free tail wafts.
- Thicker along the center with a more pronounced “vee” deck and low, yet forgiving rails = More paddle power and drive, but still sensitive, with the ability to engage the rail for 3-dimensional surfing. This added thickness does not feel “corky”.
- Thinner, yet more boxy rails through the tail for quick reaction from heel to toe and holding in while slicing through high speed carves.
- More rail rocker through the tail, creating more curve and a deeper concave under the rear foot = More POP, high speed, short radius arcs and vertical pocket surfing off the tail.
Overall, the dimensions and volume are slightly up from years past, allowing the top pros more momentum and glide, yet a still responsive ride. At the same time, allowing Bros more forgiveness and the ability to ride what the Pros are riding.

Lost El Patron (Custom Order)

“El Patron' is essentially my personal surfboard. A contemporary, performance short board scaled up and refined to be ridden, and properly perform, with generous dims and higher volume”.
It's easy to inflate any model to larger dims, but another thing altogether, for it to remain nimble, responsive and forgiving. For me, this board does just that. Like so many of us, I've long since felt relegated to riding Hybrids, or Fishy, wide nose, lower rockered boards. Crowds, getting older, a little too much good living (along with a few too many extra lbs.) as well as the fact that I never was a Pro, or a hot shot surfer, have combined to make it difficult to continue riding modern Pro-formance shortboard designs. With the El Patron', I feel I can once again enjoy riding this type of board.
El Patron' allows me to confidently navigate a crowded line up and surf at the best of my personal ability.
El Patron' is primarily based off of a couple higher volume (wider/thicker) quivers built for Kolohe Andino, where he demanded they “still carve and turn like a thinner board”. Featuring a very conservative, low entry rocker and generous, accelerated tail rocker, but blended with a no concave nose area to the shallowest of a single concave, fading to a slight vee through the fins, and back to flat out the tail. This bottom contour allows effortless drive, and glide, while importantly negating the high volume, and lets the rail easily engage and roll into the water. 3D surfing on a thick, wide board. Less concave/More volume: This is the “magic” of El Patron'. Because El Patron' is designed thick, we employ another trick...a 1/3 thinner stringer! By using a 2ply stringer, instead of 3ply, we retain similar flex patterns of a thinner board. This keeps El Patron' feeling flexy and forgiving, rather than being a big stiff plank...and breakage is not much of an issue with a board up and over 2.75″ thick.
Other details include:
- Heavily blended rails, that believe the overall thickness, and feel really good in your hands, and in the water.
- Thin, boxy rails from the fins back through the tail, allowing control and feeling loose.
- Forward thickness flow, for drive and extreme paddle-ability.

the HYDRA is a minuscule wave monster, reporting more than 25 years of developing small wave fish and mini wave hybrids.
It implements proven design details from a myriad of models like the Puddle Jumper, Bottom Feeder, Pelagic, and most recently the RNF-Retro. Built around an overall low rocker paired to an almost traditional “fish” outline, this little sea monster is a mini-wave weapon.
It features multiple magic making design elements which bring The HYDRA to life.
- On the outline, we've continued with the snowboard influenced “Pelagic” side cut outline.
From our original Pelagic , to the RNF Retro and on to the new SWORD FISH, every board featuring this outline has worked above expectations. It noticeably locks into the wave during carves and shortens the radius of turns while both gaining speed and maintaining control.
- The bottom contours feature a double concave (sitting in a single concave), with noticeable chined releases towards the rail. A design featured in our classic Bottom Feeder model. The triple concave allows the use of more curve through the rocker (which makes proper turning and vertical surfing a lot easier) by cutting through and adding lift and speed. With very wide boards, single concave bottoms easily get sticky and stay flat on the face, the chined perimeter towards the rails, add release and frees up the board from rail to rail. Making 3D rail surfing more possible, as opposed to simply skating fast on the surface, like so many traditional fish.
- The tail is a split diamond, which melds the characteristics of both swallow and diamond tails.
- The notched-out center line shortens the stringer and reduces surface area behind the rear foot, to add bite and control to a wide tail.
- The double diamond tail shortens the rail line making quick and radical, retaining power turns much more manageable.
I dare say this is a more effective and advanced tail design than a typical fish or swallow in allowing radical surfing with very wide tails.
- The HYDRA uses a flat-ish deck, with full and forgiving rails. Flat decks can remain thinner and still retain volume and are more flexible (even if thick) than vee or dome decks. Flex is good in low rocker boards, keeping them pliable and forgiving.

The shape:
The Mayhem Sub Driver has been in the Lost Surfboards lineup for a while. It has proven itself as a user-friendly high performance surfboard (also for average and smaller waves) and is a popular contest board, especially in the WQS. It has been continuously improved over the years until it is now available to us as 2.0. The Sub Driver 2.0 has a moderate rocker at the front and a rather flat rocker at the back, which is a little steeper in the rail than in the middle of the board, so that the concave changes into a slight V-bottom behind the middle fin. A gentle hip, decent concaves and, for a shortboard, a relatively large amount of width in the nose and tail create a shortboard with a lot of drive and good turning ability, on which you can perfect your skills without having to worry about being on a potato chip , which no longer forgives mistakes. We have the Sub Driver 2.0 in stock in the new Light Speed design and in the more generous Bro Dims. Light Speed is lighter and flexes more dynamically than polyester surfboards, which can be particularly advantageous in weaker waves where you have to generate a lot of speed yourself. At the same time, something feels more solid than, for example, carbon wrap.
Surfer and conditions:
The ideal area of application for the Sub Driver 2.0 is between waist height and slightly overhead height. Whether it's a hollow shore break, reef or beach break wave, you can rely on the board. However, you should have a good command of the basics and be reasonably fit, otherwise when it comes to shortboarding, you're usually more likely to experience frustration than progress.
Construction:
Light Speed is Lost's high performance epoxy construction. A lightweight, stringerless EPS core is provided with carbon layups for linear flex regulation. The board is laminated at the top and bottom with a fiberglass-Innegra blend, another 5oz fiberglass mat and epoxy resin. All mats are multi-directional woven (6oz lengthwise, 4oz crosswise). Light Speed uses the dynamic flex characteristics of stringerless EPS epoxy constructions, which can be particularly advantageous in weaker waves where you have to generate your own speed. At the same time, the "nervous/fluttery" characteristics that occur in powerful waves, where it's more about controlling the speed of the wave, are somewhat captured by the thicker glassing, the dampening effect of the Innegra fibers and the linear alignment of the carbon layups. This means that the Light Speed construction feels a little more “conservative” and “solid” than, for example, the Carbon Wrap construction. In other words, it is more versatile in terms of use and can be surfed just as well as a PU board, even in unclean and powerful waves. Even if this technology is somewhat more stable than the classic PU construction, it is not primarily about durability, but rather high performance. If durability is priority number 1 on the list, you're better off with Lib Tech or Firewire.

The PARTY CRASHER is a chopped down, volume-up spin off of the popular Crowd Killer, with a nod to the stylish Smooth Operator, but without forgetting the performance and maneuverability of our shorter hybrids like the Puddle Jumper series, thus furthering our adventures into the ego free fun of mid-length mayhem.
I feel like we have nailed the short/wide hybrid for a long time now, my quiver of 6'0” full figured grovelers runs deep. More recently, I've been loving the full-scale mid-lengths, including the Smooth Operator and Crowd Killer, but there is literally a 10”-14” length gap between these two ranges of boards in my quiver. Looking for a happy medium between our typical hybrids (which are traditionally ridden at, or even well below your own height) and our Mid-length Mayhem models, the PARTY CRASHER was designed to bridge the considerable size gap. A magic unicorn that glides and paddles like the longer boards, but more maneuverable and easier to travel with, like the smaller boards. The PARTY CRASHER exists to do just that: Crash any spot and shark around the line up like an un-wanted guest, feasting on typical surf like at an open bar or free buffet.
Starting with my favorite 7'2” Crowd Killer Round, I chopped 6” off of the tail and made a hard diamond, which further shortens the rail line and
enables quicker, more radical, turns. We then whacked 2” off the nose allowing the nose rocker to settle lower and to carry more width forward, lending glide and early entry into waves. The generous tail rocker purposely remains the same, but when squeezed into the shorter board allows it to really fit into tight pockets and short, average broken up beach breaks. It doesn't need a lot of room to turn.
The PARTY CRASHER retains the Crowd Killer's relatively low rail volume, and continuous curve outline, which keeps it catch free and forgiving. It features a deeper, more souped-up and radical, single to double concave bottom. The deeper concave adds lift and spark in smaller surf, and increase the rail line rocker, allowing more vertical and tight-radius-turning.
Crash any line up with confidence on this wave catching, yet surprisingly nimble and maneuverable, machine. It's an age appropriate board, that allows more mature surfers to navigate crowded line ups and hit wave quota, without the typical reduction in performance when going with a longer, higher volume board. Meant to be ridden 4”-8” shorter than a Crowd Killer/Smooth Operator, or 4”-8” longer than our range of Puddle Jumper styles, short Hybrids, but with similar width and thickness to all.

Der PUDDLE JUMPER-STING wurde von unserer langjährigen Puddle Jumper-Kooperation mit LIB-Tech inspiriert, die eine geflügelte Squash-Tail-Version des ursprünglichen Puddle Jumper umfasst. Wir wollten auf diesem Design aufbauen und einen Schritt weiter gehen, indem wir das kultige STING-Design-Element einfügten. Die Einfügung des STING erfolgte auf natürliche Weise und mit Leichtigkeit. Es sieht aus, als ob es schon immer dazugehörte. Eine unserer breitesten und stabilsten/verspielten Grundrissformen wurde nun mit dem STING radikalisiert. Auf 18“ platziert (etwa 1/4 vom Heck aus) sah er sofort wie eine perfekte Passform aus. Er ermöglicht einen schärferen, engeren und intensiveren Drehpunkt in dieser leicht zu fahrenden, spielerischen Spaßmaschine. Eine der Einschränkungen von extrem breiten Hybriden war schon immer, dass sie einfach zu genießen sind, aber schwierig, wirklich radikal zu fahren.
Die gleiche Problemlösung, die das STING vor fast 50 Jahren berühmt gemacht hat, wird hier auf den OG Puddle Jumper angewandt - mit erstaunlichen Ergebnissen. Bertlemann wird es lieben und Buttons wäre begeistert!

With very wide boards, single concave bottoms easily get sticky and stay flat on the face, the chined perimeter towards the rails, add release and frees up the board from rail to rail. Making 3D rail surfing more possible, as opposed to simply skating fast on the surface, like so many traditional fish.
- The tail is a split diamond, which melds the characteristics of both swallow and diamond tails.
- The notched-out center line shortens the stringer and reduces surface area behind the rear foot, to add bite and control to a wide tail.
- The double diamond tail shortens the rail line making quick and radical, retaining power turns much more manageable.
I dare say this is a more effective and advanced tail design than a typical fish or swallow in allowing radical surfing with very wide tails.
- The HYDRA uses a flat-ish deck, with full and forgiving rails. Flat decks can remain thinner and still retain volume and are more flexible (even if thick) than vee or dome decks. Flex is good in low rocker boards, keeping them pliable and forgiving.

The PARTY CRASHER retains the Crowd Killer's relatively low rail volume, and continuous curve outline, which keeps it catch free and forgiving. It features a deeper, more souped-up and radical, single to double concave bottom. The deeper concave adds lift and spark in smaller surf, and increase the rail line rocker, allowing more vertical and tight-radius-turning.
Crash any line up with confidence on this wave catching, yet surprisingly nimble and maneuverable, machine. It's an age appropriate board, that allows more mature surfers to navigate crowded line ups and hit wave quota, without the typical reduction in performance when going with a longer, higher volume board. Meant to be ridden 4”-8” shorter than a Crowd Killer/Smooth Operator, or 4”-8” longer than our range of Puddle Jumper styles, short Hybrids, but with similar width and thickness to all.

WHEEL RIPPER is the latest in our “Post Modern Retro” collection. A direct spin off from the Retro Ripper, but scaled for small, sub-par, every day surfing.
Starting with the Retro Ripper, I lowered the entry rocker a bit (for fast paddle, early entry, easy glide and quickness out the gate), and replaced the speed controlling round tail with a wide, planing squash tail. the SMOOTH OPERATOR is our modern twist on the classic mid-length, double ender. I've become more interested in not only designing and building this genre of board, but also inspired to really learn how to ride them. It was sparked by previous dalliances with mid-length, semi-performance boards, like the "Lazy Toy" and "EZ-UP". These boards, with their Wayne Lynch/Evolution inspired vee bottoms and rounded noses, were forgiving and easy to ride, but essentially glorified fun boards. More recently, we developed the Crowd Killer, more of an over inflated pump and rip stick, with its hyper extended nose rocker and equally aggressive tail rocker. While high volume and performance minded, the Crowd Killer does not possess the effortless glide and horizontal trim of a classic mid length. The SMOOTH OPERATOR does. Built around an exaggeratedly low entry rocker, forward wide point and thickness flow, and a nose and tail that measure the same width at both 12” and 24”, the SMOOTH OPERATOR paddles and glides like nothing ever adorned with a …Lost or Mayhem logo . That's not to say it doesn't turn though!

Ganz neuer, täglich aktualisierter, leistungsfähiger Player, entwickelt mit Kolohe Andino. Die 3.0_STUB ist eine direkte Ableitung der lange Zeit entwickelt, aber vor kurzem veröffentlicht, DRIVER3.0.
Ein Board, das mit Elite-Surfern entwickelt wurde, die auf der Suche nach der „ultimativen Fahrmaschine“ sind. Das DRIVER3.0 wurde in erster Linie in und um die Wellen der World Tour herum getestet (nicht unbedingt der typische 1′-3' weiche Slop, durch den die meisten von uns täglich leiden) und ließ am unteren Ende immer noch Platz für höhere Leistung in weniger hohen Wellen.
Hier kommt der 3.0STUB. Eine abgespeckte und „gestumpfte“ Low-End-/Hochleistungsmaschine für kleinere Wellen.
Anders als das Sub-Driver (unser anderes Step-Down-Performance-Board) verwendet das 3.0_STUB kein Vee im Tail. Stattdessen verfügt es über eine durchgehende Rocker/Konkav-Kombination. Dies ist der Hauptunterschied zwischen den beiden Boards. Der Rocker des DRIVER 3.0 ist zwar merklich entspannter, aber immer noch locker und lebendig, schnell und einfach zu lösen, unter dem hinteren Fuß. Es passt müheloser in kleine Pockets oder schnelle, holprige Abschnitte als das SubDriver. Perfekt für kleine Beachbreaks.
Die Ähnlichkeiten im Rocker, in der Bodenkontur und in der Outline sorgen für ein ähnliches Fahrgefühl, wenn man zwischen dem DRIVER3.0 und dem 3.0STUB wechselt. Das war das Ziel und das ist das Ergebnis.
EIGENSCHAFTEN: ...Im Vergleich zum DRIVER3.0
Entspannter Einstiegs-Rocker, mit einem etwas breiteren Nose-Bereich.
Entspannter Tail-Rocker, mit einer leichten Hüfte und einem breiteren Tail-Block (aber nicht so breit wie beim SubDriver).
Insgesamt mehr Breite, wobei die Dicke weiter in die Nose und unter den hinteren Fuß getragen wird.
Tiefere Single- und Double-Concave-Kombination für mehr Auftrieb mit viel Rail Curve bei weniger starkem Wellengang.
Etwas flacheres Deck, mit weichen, fehlerverzeihenden Rails.
Die Arbeit mit Kolohe, der nach dem Fahren des DRIVER3.0 in der richtigen Brandung das Gefühl haben wollte, dass er das gleiche Board auf der T-Street oder den kleinen Trestles fahren würde. SubDrivers zu fahren fühlte sich „fast steif“ an. Er wollte ein Board, das keine Anpassung der Technik erfordert und nahtlos mit dem DRIVER3.0 gewechselt werden kann.

Because they are not woven, the fibers do not curl under and over vertical fibers like traditional woven fabrics do. The fibers lie flatter, retain less resin, remain smoother, straighter and stronger, and have a more natural flex. Unlike traditional fabrics, there is also no 90 degree carbon from rail to rail, which creates weak points and easy cracks for deck dents, cracks and breaks.
Due to the +30/-30° fabric orientation, the torsional force and pressure from the surfer's feet radiates outward to a larger portion of the rail line, providing greater drive, better connection and therefore better control of the edges and the edge of the board. The RNF-'96... After designing several variations of "Fishes" from fall 1994 to 1995, we got a little going with the designs. By the start of the winter of '95/'96 we had refined a basic design that enabled us to refine, replicate and resize the original RNF (by hand) with some consistency. We continued to build small quivers for both Chris Ward and Cory Lopez and send them everywhere, with Cory taking different versions to each stop on the WQS tour.
These 1996 Fish were all hand-sculpted and not the most consistent creations, but they became the basis and building blocks to offer the design to people outside of our own circle of friends. They were the boards that Chris and Cory took to the North Shore as teenagers and left their indelible mark on the surfing universe.
The RNF-'96 is based in reverence, but not 100% consistency, on the original "Fish" we developed for Chris and Cory the year before the groundbreaking 1997 surf film: 5'5" x 19 1 /4". Although very few examples from this era still exist (at least in our possession) and most of those that exist are very thin and imperfect relics of Cory's boards (we can't find any of Chris' boards from this era at all), it's coming When replicating and executing, it's all about what looks and feels right... and what works best.
I still have the remains of a 5'10 x 20" x 2-5/8" personal board. A board I carried to Durban SA in July '96. It was a liberating board that changed my life in small waves, not only as a designer but also as a surfer struggling with the status quo of boards in the mid-90s. With this board I was able to surf very small, rippable waves in and around the Durban Piers for a few weeks that year. Never before had so many people (including other shapers) asked me, "What are you driving?", and that's when I knew we were in for something more than just frivolous fishing fun. These designs were something the entire surfing world could touch and enjoy.
I've always felt that the main difference between our RNF and most others from the '90s and beyond is the fact that our outline is increasingly based on the MR-inspired, high-performance, competition-oriented twin-fins of the late '70s/early '80s years based. Relatively tucked tails, developed through trial and error, for maximum performance and control...not just in small waves, but in all sizes and shapes of waves.
To put it simply, most fish since that time have been predominantly influenced by kneeboards. Inspired by the Lis style of the early 70s, with a wide tail and parallel outline that were good for stand-up surfing in small waves, but have since failed to match the top performance of modern shortboards. Our fishing has always been about performance, not just a crutch that allows you to go fast in small waves.
In order to develop better surfboards, we took a little freedom. Based on the last 25 years of board building, we have sought to develop a consistent (and dare I say better) surfboard that faithfully follows the diverse RNF of 1996, but is not necessarily exact. Thanks to the careful testing carried out by many members of our top team, including Kolohe, Coco, Ian Crane, Crosby Cola and other "guests" (and even pedestrian testing by myself) over the last few months of 2020, we are very confident that the RNF-'96 will meet and exceed expectations - as an all-round, rip-fun machine for a wide range of surfers.
FEATURES
Rocker curves: The proven original curves have been retained.
Outline Curves: Both nose and tail were typically the same width at 12" and remain so, but with more precision, including an additional curve and width of 6" from the tail. A "secret" to the success of the original was that, unlike most other "fishes", the width of the tail on ours was closer to that of a typical HP shortboard. This allows for much more control over the tail than typical fish designs.
Lower contours: The classic combination of single concave and double concave with accelerating vee are the defining design elements and adhere to the specifications.
The thickness of the flow, deckline, rails and tail foil: In those rudimentary handshape days, they were completely different. Each board was different, and most of them had significantly different curves and thicknesses from one rail to the next.
Which board is the right one if you build it? Ultimately, I relied on my gut feeling about what would work best.

The tail patch on the right side wasn't placed quite as nicely when glassing and the board therefore has a small visual flaw, which does not affect the riding characteristics of the board. Hence the reduction in price by 50CHF.
The DRIVER 2.0 is the continuing evolution of our most proven and popular Pro-formance Shortboard. Designed through direct feedback and ongoing refinement with rigorous testing from our pinnacle team riders, specifically Kolohe Andino and Griffin Colapinto, as well as Carissa Moore and young Caroline Marks. The DRIVER 2.0 is a direct reflection of what our team has pushed us to create, to keep up with their pinnacle performance surfing demands.
Over the last two years, since the last iteration of the DRIVER (in early 2017), there has been a constant, almost monthly refinement, of fine tuning and adjustments to keep up with the evolution of modern performance surfing. We've literally made Griffin and Kolohe hundreds of DRIVERS in that time, with subtle, ongoing edits and tweaks. The good news is that this evolution also benefits the every-day surfer.
Updates include:
- More gradual, “no flip tip” entry rocker, for glide and “no pump” speed, out the gate = Connecting sections more effortlessly and carry speed though drawn out turns.
- Wider nose outline in the forward 18”, for more front foot drive and speed, down the line and through carving turns. This also creates a stable platform for the front foot, when landing reverse and fin free tail wafts.
- Thicker along the center with a more pronounced “vee” deck and low, yet forgiving rails = More paddle power and drive, but still sensitive, with the ability to engage the rail for 3-dimensional surfing. This added thickness does not feel “corky”.
- Thinner, yet more boxy rails through the tail for quick reaction from heel to toe and holding in while slicing through high speed carves.
- More rail rocker through the tail, creating more curve and a deeper concave under the rear foot = More POP, high speed, short radius arcs and vertical pocket surfing off the tail.
Overall, the dimensions and volume are slightly up from years past, allowing the top pros more momentum and glide, yet a still responsive ride. At the same time, allowing Bros more forgiveness and the ability to ride what the Pros are riding.

Entworfen und entwickelt auf Wunsch seiner Psychedelischen Majestät, begannen wir mit einem von Masons Lieblingsbrettern, dem 5'6“ Baby Buggy, und bauten es aus diesem Chassis heraus, wobei wir viele der Elemente beibehielten, die seine Lebendigkeit in kleinen Wellen ausmachten, und es in etwas Neues und Magisches umarbeiteten.
Das LITTLE WING Erlebnis bietet:
Eine kurze und breite Outline, mit viel Speed und Auftrieb erzeugender Fläche, verpackt in einem kleinen, aber starken Paket.
Eine volle, fehlerverzeihende Nose und eine spürbare „Hüfte“ in der Taille des Schwanzes, die breit und kurvig an den vorderen Finnen ist, aber ein wenig eingezogen, hinter der hinteren Finne, mehr Präzision Kurvenfahrt als die alte Baby Buggy hinzufügen.
Niedriger, schneller Einstiegs-Rocker für schnelle Geschwindigkeit aus dem Gatter heraus und auf der Linie. Entspannter Kurvenverlauf in der Mitte und mehr als nur ein bisschen Tail Lift für schnelles Loslassen.
Weiche, runde, fehlerverzeihende „Bally“-Rails vorne und in der Mitte, die sich in schnelle, harte Kanten und ein dünnes, kastenförmiges Tail verjüngen.

Die Konkaven sorgen für Auftrieb und Pop und erwecken sowohl subpar als auch weiche, verspielte Wellen zum Leben, um dein Erlebnis in kleinen Wellen radikal zu verbessern.
Die erhöhte Dicke in der Mittellinie, die sich bis in die Nose fortsetzt, sorgt für Drive und Paddeleigenschaften. Das mäßig gerollte Deck sorgt für ein geringeres Volumen und weiche, fehlerverzeihende Rails, die für das Einfahren und Carven in 3D durch die Wasseroberfläche konzipiert sind.

Seit drei Jahren feiern wir ein Vierteljahrhundert des #RoundNoseFish'96.
In diesen Jahren haben wir Tausende von ihnen gebaut.
Viele von ihnen wurden speziell bestellt, entworfen und geformt, mit besonderen Maßen und Details.
Wenn man bedenkt, dass er auf einem 25 Jahre alten Design basiert, ist es unmöglich, die Kurven nicht anpassen, einstellen und feinjustieren zu wollen.
Für Freunde, Teamfahrer und mich selbst haben wir genau das getan.
Ein bisschen hier und ein bisschen da.
Ein bisschen mehr Kurve und ein bisschen weniger Masse.
Den Rocker abrunden, die Konkavität ausschöpfen und die Rails verfeinern.
Ein bisschen kürzer,
ein bisschen breiter,
Und so weiter...
Ich füge Multi-Finnen-Setups und einen Flügel hinzu, um wieder ins Spiel zu kommen.
Die ganze Zeit auf der Suche nach mehr Geschwindigkeit, mehr Schnelligkeit, mehr Präzision und mehr Spaß.
Mit der Zeit entwickelte sich eine fast völlig neue Fischart.
Eine neue Art von PISCES.
Der PISCES: Die Evolution der Unterart der Leistungsfische, bei der Präzision an erster Stelle steht.
Ein sich weiterentwickelndes Design, das sich darauf konzentriert, das Stigma des Entwicklungsstopps im postmodernen Fischgenre zu beseitigen.
Es nimmt alles auf, was vorher war, und schlägt eine Brücke nach vorne.
Engeres Drehen in der Tasche, senkrechtes Carven auf der Fläche, finnenfreie Kontrolle in der Lippe und immer noch freies Skaten auf den Flats.
Das „PISCES“ repräsentiert unsere Vision des Fisches als Allround-Performance-Vehikel, mühelos effizient als Alltagsboard.
Schlechte Wellen, gute Wellen, Mittelklasse-Surfer, Elite-Profis... und jede Welle (und jeder) dazwischen.
Entstanden aus dem mehrfach bewährten #RNF96. Verfeinerungen beinhalten:
Eine stärker eingezogene Nase, mit mehr Rocker vorne und flacher zwischen den Füßen.
Eine tiefere Konkavität im mittleren Bereich und eine stärkere Kurve durch den Rail-Line-Rocker unter dem hinteren Fuß.
Ein weicher Flügel, der auf die vorderen Finnen abgestimmt ist.
Fünf Flossenkästen, für mehrere Optionen: Quad, Twin+2, Twin+1, gerader Twin für die coolen Kids, die es locker angehen lassen, und sogar ein Thruster für die Eingefleischten.
Zusätzliches Vee an den Swallow-Tips und eine ausgehöhlte Deckline im Tail, die die Bottom Curve besser widerspiegelt und eine verbesserte Pocket Control ermöglicht.
Mit diesen Anpassungen haben wir ein aufgemotztes, abgespecktes Hot Rod geschaffen, das das Niveau der Präzision und Manövrierbarkeit erhöht, ohne Geschwindigkeit und Stabilität zu gefährden.
Vielleicht ist er sogar schneller.

Return deadline
Of course, you have the right to return goods. Please note, however, that for logistical reasons you only have 14 days to send the goods back to us. You can do this without giving a reason and it is sufficient if the posting date is within the deadline. But we are really very accommodating and of course we will extend the deadline for you - please just let us know quickly in advance. Please note, however, that we cannot extend the deadlines for "purchase on account" because this is an external payment provider.
Requirement
In contrast to many online providers, we do not simply throw away the returns, but sell them again in our store. We can therefore only accept goods that are neither used nor damaged. The risk and proof of return shipping lies with the customer.
Reimbursement
As soon as we have received the goods back in perfect condition, we will refund you the purchase price you have already paid. Depending on the payment method you choose, we will choose the same way to refund you the money.
Shipping costs for return shipping will not be refunded. Refunds will be processed within 14 days.

Delivery costs
We have most of our range in stock and dispatch as quickly as possible. We always strive to deliver the goods to you as quickly as possible. If, contrary to expectations, the item is not available, we will inform you by email. Shipping is usually done via DPD.
Free Shipping
For orders over CHF 80.00 we deliver free of charge within Switzerland (with the exception of surfboards, see below)! For orders under CHF 80 we charge a flat rate of CHF 10 delivery costs.
Shipping costs for surfboards and bulky goods
Bulky goods (such as surfboards) are the only items excluded from free shipping. If the order contains surfboards or a package with a length of more than 1 meter, we charge a flat shipping fee of 40 CHF per package. The applicable shipping costs will be displayed to you before you order.
Delivery outside Switzerland
At the moment, deliveries to Switzerland are only possible via the online shop. However, for orders abroad, we will be happy to provide you with a shipping quote for the desired foreign address. Simply use the contact form or write us an email.
