When we released the Ghost, we had no idea that its unique design would be embraced by so many people in so many different types of waves. However, we kept hearing feedback that it works best in shoulder-high waves and up, so we set out to develop a step-down board that provides the same feeling on the days with head-high and smaller waves, which make up the bulk of our daily surf sessions.
The Phantom is a flatter, more high-performance version of the Ghost with added volume, making it perfect for your daily sessions in less-than-epic conditions. We kept the same Ghost rocker but added more single concave to make it flatter through the center, which contributes to more speed and flow without compromising the overall performance or feel of the original design.
The added width in the tail and nose creates a more parallel, fuller outline that helps maintain speed through slower sections and tight turns. The rails are full but not chunky, giving you more lift and speed without sacrificing the sensitivity we all love in our boards. The Phantom is best suited for waves of all kinds that are waist-high to overhead, and is your go-to daily driver for high performance.
Ride it at your height, a bit wider, and about the same thickness as your Ghost.
