Semente Gony Black Bird Shortboard (Custom Order)
Gony Zubizarreta and Nick Uricchio put a lot of time and effort into developing this model. Gony's growth as a pro surfer has been exciting and fulfilling for Semente. His constant feedback has led to a great deal of fine-tuning in his model. Lately we've been playing with the outline and rocker line in front of and behind the widest point, combined with a slight change in concave placement to increase speed and create a more consistent feel in and out of all maneuvers. This model is where we are now. Increased width and flotation to match Gony's size and strength. Rails are low and semi-boxy and stand for sharp, fast surfing in the last part of the board. The bottom features a single concave that tapers into a release tail. Gony prefers squash tails up to 6'1'' and then mostly jumps onto a rounded pin. Swallows are also available. Your board will be custom made in Portugal and shipped within approximately 3 weeks. The dimensions, the fin system and carbon strips can be adjusted on request.
