The Malibu 8'2" is a versatile surfboard positioned between a longboard and a mini-malibu. It combines excellent paddling characteristics and early take-offs with a stable, balanced ride – even when the waves become a bit steeper or hollower.

Thanks to its length and generous volume, the board is particularly easy to paddle and offers great stability. At the same time, it remains responsive enough for controlled turns, making it ideal for relaxed sessions in a wide variety of conditions.

Mini-Malibu tail (part 2), center section (part 7), longboard nose (part 6), Newave backpack, and the connectors required for assembly.

One surfboard – countless possibilities.

Newave surfboards are modular and can be disassembled. The individual board parts are connected to each other within seconds using the specially developed connection system – without the need for any tools.

The big advantage: The different parts of the Newave range can be combined with one another. This allows you to expand your board later with additional nose, center, or tail sections to assemble further shapes. With the complete Newave quiver of 7 parts in total, up to 9 different surfboards from 5'10" to 9'0" can be configured.

This means you have the right board for any wave conditions without having to transport or store multiple complete surfboards. When disassembled, the boards fit into the Newave backpack – perfect for traveling by car, train, or plane.

In the water, the Newave feels like a classic surfboard despite the connections: The system has been developed to ensure that stability, flex, and performance are maintained.
