The 7S Double Down aims to increase your wave count and improve your game in small waves. This is the flattest surfboard in the 7S range, and it has the highest volume-to-size ratio. For these reasons, it is fast, has plenty of flow, and is the perfect weapon for fatter, subpar conditions.

OUTLINE: The nose and tail are equal in width at 12″, creating a larger sweet spot and a more stable planing zone. The full nose further contributes to stability, and the 'corner round' tail allows the width to be carried further back while still achieving the smooth transitions between turns that a round tail is known for.

ROCKER: The emphasis is on everyday conditions; flat is synonymous with flow, so the Double Down glides into waves with ease and maintains its speed through dead sections with minimal effort. Slight lift in the nose and tail satisfies the experienced rider looking for a summer growler.

CONTOURS: The slight single concave in the front of the board provides lift during takeoff, while the double concave in the mid-section transitions into a flat, rolled vee at the tail. This bottom contour combination provides exceptional speed in softer waves while offering a good balance between control and quick turning when pivoting directly off the tail.

PERFORMANCE: The Double Down is fast off the mark and super easy to turn. Think of summer beach breaks or soft point waves where you need a board with enough foam and lift to get you moving, but don't want to limit how you want to perform on a wave. We recommend riding this board with larger side fins and a smaller center fin.
