FAQs: is SPF 30 really enough? Do I usually wear SPF 50?
What many people don't know is that the difference between SPF 30 and SPF 50 is only 1%. SPF 30 protects against 97% of UVB rays, while SPF 50 protects against 98%. SPF 50 sunscreens can therefore be misleading, making you think you are better protected than you actually are. SPF 50 also requires the use of UV filters, which are not as safe as nano-free zinc oxide, the only UV filter we use. For this reason, Suntribe sun protection never goes beyond SPF 30.
