Back in 1982, Portugal was every surfer's dream and Ericeira was the mystical surf trip for every surfer because of the quality and roughness of the waves. At the time Nick Uricchio and Miguel Katzenstein founded Semente Surfboards, the decision of where to locate was simple: Where's the best surf? Ericeira, more precisely, directly to one of the best right-handers in Europe, Coxos. Surfing was the driving force behind the partners in the beginning and the passion for surfboard design and construction. The name Semente, which means “seed” in English, was chosen and provided the basis for a project that would grow and thrive in the future.
In the first days, the geographical choice of partners was a handicap, as there were few surfers in Ericeira, most customers came from the Lisbon area or the Cascais coast. There were few cars and the roads were poor, so visits from potential customers were rare. As time went on, news spread that Ericeira and the Semente factory were seeing a heavy influx of surfers from Portugal and abroad. Other major surfing brands began to set up shop in the area, with the same intention that Nick and Miguel had in '82: to surf the best waves in Portugal.
Semente Surfboards' commitment and dedication to surfboard design and construction have greatly influenced Portuguese surfing. Professional and amateur surfers from all over the world have been knocking on Semente's door and Semente has been working with Portugal's top surfers from day one. The constant development.

The Bondo is a high-performance, small-wave surfboard originally designed as a hole-filler (as it's called) for muddy contest waves. Surprisingly, the team riders found it amazing when the conditions were a bit more demanding or in waves with a bit more pressure.
The key to the Bondo's success is the balance of the model. Strength, rocker and concave are almost exactly 2' from the nose or 2' from the tail, providing consistent speed and quick release during critical maneuvers. The shape of the surface is fuller throughout with a fuller nose than the average shortboard, with the tail pulled in more for tighter arcs when carving.
This board carries buoyancy both under the chest and under the rear foot, another key to success. Great summer board or competition board for intermediate to advanced surfers.
Your board will be made to measure in Portugal and shipped within approx. 4 weeks. Optionally, the dimensions, the fin system, the shape of the tail, carbon strips and designs can be adjusted on request.

Return deadline
Of course, you have the right to return goods. Please note, however, that for logistical reasons you only have 14 days to send the goods back to us. You can do this without giving a reason and it is sufficient if the posting date is within the deadline. But we are really very accommodating and of course we will extend the deadline for you - please just let us know quickly in advance. Please note, however, that we cannot extend the deadlines for "purchase on account" because this is an external payment provider.
Requirement
In contrast to many online providers, we do not simply throw away the returns, but sell them again in our store. We can therefore only accept goods that are neither used nor damaged. The risk and proof of return shipping lies with the customer.
Reimbursement
As soon as we have received the goods back in perfect condition, we will refund you the purchase price you have already paid. Depending on the payment method you choose, we will choose the same way to refund you the money.
Shipping costs for return shipping will not be refunded. Refunds will be processed within 14 days.

Delivery costs
We have most of our range in stock and dispatch as quickly as possible. We always strive to deliver the goods to you as quickly as possible. If, contrary to expectations, the item is not available, we will inform you by email. Shipping is usually done via DPD.
Free Shipping
For orders over CHF 80.00 we deliver free of charge within Switzerland (with the exception of surfboards, see below)! For orders under CHF 80 we charge a flat rate of CHF 10 delivery costs.
Shipping costs for surfboards and bulky goods
Bulky goods (such as surfboards) are the only items excluded from free shipping. If the order contains surfboards or a package with a length of more than 1 meter, we charge a flat shipping fee of 40 CHF per package. The applicable shipping costs will be displayed to you before you order.
Delivery outside Switzerland
At the moment, deliveries to Switzerland are only possible via the online shop. However, for orders abroad, we will be happy to provide you with a shipping quote for the desired foreign address. Simply use the contact form or write us an email.
