The best surfers, the best waves... from 15 of the best surf photographers.

Surf photographers are the unsung heroes of surfing. They do crazy things to get the shots that fill the pages of the world's best surfing magazines. Some risk life and limb shooting action on deadly reefs like Teahupoo and Pipeline. Some lose themselves in the Arctic for months, braving sub-zero temperatures for the chance of a perfect day at a distant point. Some drive hundreds of miles along potholed routes in war-torn countries like Angola and Namibia, looking for pristine breaks.

Shooting the Curl features the work of 15 top surf photographers and gets the inside story about the surfers and waves that inspire them. Loaded with incredible images, this is a book for everyone who loves great photos of surfing and amazing waves.

Featuring the work of surf photographers Tim Jones, Alan van Gysen, Scott Aichner, Erick and Ian Regnard, Steve Sherman, Mickey Smith, Yassine Ouhilal, Anthony Walsh, Roger Sharp, Clark Little, DJ Struntz, Tim McKenna, Will Bailey, Lucia Griggi And Simon Williams.

Chris Power is the former editor and editor of CARVE, the UK's leading surf magazine. He is a trained photographer who has traveled to more than 17 countries on surfing missions over the past few years.
