The classic wood skimboards from SkimOne are made of 7-ply, pressed and impregnated poplar wood. This is the only way for the board to gain enough tension to glide across even a thin film of water. The surface is sealed and varnished.
The deck is completely covered with non-slip EVA foam and therefore does not need to be waxed.
