Picture Organic Clothing was founded in 2008 by Julien Durant, Jérémy Rochette, and Florian Palluel in Clermont-Ferrand, France – with a clear mission: to produce high-quality technical outdoor and sportswear without compromising on sustainability. The three founders came from the outdoor industry and were convinced that sustainable materials and high performance are not contradictory. From the very beginning, Picture focused on recycled materials: PET bottles as a basis for polyester fibers, organic cotton, plant-based resins, and Bluesign-certified fabrics.

The Picture range includes snowboard jackets and pants, fleece sweaters, T-shirts, hoodies, and a growing surf line. The technical jackets use materials such as recycled nylon and polyester with membrane technologies for waterproofing and breathability. The surf collection includes boardshorts and surfwear made from organic and recycled materials. Picture has clear sustainability goals and regularly publishes progress reports on material usage and carbon footprint. The brand is a member of the 1% for the Planet initiative and supports environmental projects worldwide.
