The Phantom is the step-down version of John John Florence's current favorite, the Ghost.
When we first released the Ghost, we had no idea that its unique design would be embraced by so many people in so many different types of waves. The one feedback we kept hearing was that it works best in shoulder height waves and higher, so we set out to create a step down board that would bring the same feel to the head high and bottom days , which ultimately make up most of our daily surfing sessions.
The Phantom is a Ghost that's squashed, beefed up and given an extra volume, ideal for your everyday sessions in less than epic situations.
We stock the same Ghost rocker, but we've added more single concave to flatten it through the middle, which helps generate speed and flow without deviating from the overall performance or feel of the original design.
The extra width in the tail and nose creates a more parallel, fuller contour that helps increase speed through slower sections and tight turns.
The rals are full but not chunky, bringing more float and speed without sacrificing the sensitivity we all love in our boards.

The Hypto Krypto is the most versatile shape in the Haydenshapes range, enabling it to be ridden in waves from 1ft to 8ft. It paddles like a dream due to the volume and flutter rocker. You ride the Hypto Krypto on the open face, drawing fast, flowing lines with all the speed it provides.
The outline resembles an old school twin fin in the nose, yet pulls into a rounded pin tail which will give you plenty of hold in the bigger stuff, and provide a lot of curve around the back foot. You can use the wider, straighter outline forward on the board to give you speed down the line and the rounded pintail to draw tighter arcs in the pocket.
Although the rocker of the Hypto Krypto is flat, Hayden has snuck in a little extra lift in the entry to add some curve up front; this helps taking off late, or turning into the steeper sections of the wave. The design of the rocker has been focused around speed, and more speed! The Hypto has never been shaped as a quad because it is too fast already, you'll find yourself making sections down the line that you would never expect to make.
The foil has plenty of volume around the chest and center area of the board, yet it refines out to a thinner, more pinched rail to keep the board connected to the wave. The concave runs from a rolled vee in the entry, to a slight single transitioning into a vee double out the tail, which gives the board great speed and control from rail to rail.

State-of-the-art construction identical to the structure of an epoxy surfboard: A super-light EPS foam core is surrounded by an epoxy laminate. The result: an extremely light skimboard. A plus point is the significantly higher buoyancy compared to boards without a foam core. With this technology underfoot, real skimboarding is just beginning. With the same swing you slide at least three times as far as with conventional wooden boards. This is how you get your first waves. Skimboarding at this level is just as fascinating as surfing. A flat tail and nose rocker as well as a lot of width and thickness are the hallmarks of the so-called Groveler boards and are a lot of fun as long as the surf stays small.
Our Swiss Alps series was specially developed for wave systems like Wavegarden together with shaper Nick Uricchio and our Alaia team rider Gabriel Tamaki. A little more thickness in the boards helps you to have enough buoyancy in fresh water or to leave the line up behind you in a paddle battle in the sea. Reinforced plugs and stronger glazing round off the Alpen upgrade and offer you many years of fun with every wave.
