The Perfect Job - Wax Job 101
The perfect wax job is not only a feast for the eyes but also gives you by far the best wax in the entire line-up. We know that the Swiss surfer generally only aims for late freefall drops and therefore takes every bit of grip he can find; ) You can find the picture of the font below...
We recommend that you always use a basecoat. These are usually labeled as Tropical or Basecoat and are therefore the hardest wax mixtures on the market. If you are traveling in extremely cold waters, the “basecoat” shifts more towards the softer mixtures.
Example at 7 degrees water temperature:
top coat; X-Cold Sex Wax (14C and below)
base coat; Cool (14 to 23 C) / Mid Cool (18 to 26 C)
The “base” forms the well-known grid pattern with a distance of approximately 2-3 cm between the individual grooves. Do not apply this layer too thickly, as this will ensure the best connection between top and basecoat.
Now apply the topcoat evenly over the entire surface in circular movements until small bumps form.
