Billabong Gripdeck Parko Punch

Application Instructions

1. Clean the surface where the grip well be applied, removing all traces of wax. Use a solvent such as acetone, benzine, methylated spirits. DO NOT USE OIL BASED PRODUCTS such as Turps or paraffin. Allow the solvent to evaporate by drying the board's surface in either direct sunlight or by using a hair dryer for a couple of minutes (this will produce a clean dry surface with no residue of cleaning fluids - the can be damaging to the new glue). New Surfboards should also be cleaned with a solvent to be sure the surface is clean

2. Before removing the backing paper, plan where the grip ist to be placed and carefully mark the outline with a pencil.

3. Prior to applying your new deck grip, slightly heat up the surface temperature of the board to 72 F for optimum bonding to occur. This can be achieved by placing the board in direct sunlight, and will assist in activating the adhesive on the grip.

4. Carefully apply the grip by beginning from the centre of the pad, and working outwards. Try to avoid touching the adhesive - if you must touch, hold the adhesive away from the edges and corners.

5. Apply firm pressure to the entire pad, especially the edges and corners.

6. For maximum bond, allow 24 hours.
